Traditional villa
This detached villa in traditional Madeiran style is located in a quiet and prestigious area of the capital. Just a ten-minute walk from the centre of Funchal, it offers magnificent views of the bay and harbour. The villa's construction retains its original structure of stone and pine floors. The lower floor is four and a half and the upper floor is almost six metres high. On three floors, on the ground floor we find two large entrance halls, a dining room and three living rooms, one of which has a fireplace, a kitchen with pantry, a utility room for laundry, a storage room and a guest bathroom.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms, one of them with en-suite bathroom and wardrobe and with direct access to a large balcony. On the same level there is another bathroom and a large family room with shared bathroom that could be converted into two more suites. The top floor, with independent entrance, has another large living room with marble fireplace, a common room and a corridor leading to a high loft. There is also an annex with a leisure area containing a jacuzzi, a sauna and a small gym. Outside you will find well-tended gardens, an outdoor kitchen, a veranda for al fresco dining, and a swimming pool with sun terrace. In another area, a vegetable garden, fruit trees and a greenhouse for plants have been planted.

The Capital Funchal
Funchal is the capital of Madeira. The beautiful bay, the romantic harbour and the surrounding mountains make it one of the most beautiful cities in Portugal. Funchal was named after the fennel spice "funcho", which was found when the island was discovered. Today, the city is ultra-modern and trendy. The large shopping centres and exclusive shops and boutiques in the pedestrian zones as well as the large market hall invite you to an extensive shopping spree all year round. The capital also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights. In addition to the city centre, you will find a large number of excellent and often very reasonably priced restaurants offering local and international specialities in the old town. The Botanical Gardens are a wonderful destination for an excursion. The Jardim Tropical, located about three kilometres above the city centre high above the bay, is best reached by a spectacular cable car ride.
